1966 Triumph TR4A

LATE ENTRY

This TR4A was supplied new to Leyland Triumph Motors, Canada Ltd. It was repatriated to the UK in 1989 and was subsequently the subject of a body-off restoration and converted into a right hand drive model. After two custodians in Canada and one owner in the UK, the vendor purchased the TR in May 2015 and proceeded to carry out a full mechanical check; with reliability in the forefront of his mind, the bodywork was not his main concern.

We are told that the engine was rebuilt with new liners and pistons etc... fitted, a reconditioned radiator was installed and the gearbox checked and equipped with a new overdrive unit. Spax adjustable shock absorbers have been fitted to the front and rear and the exhaust is stainless steel. We understand the chassis, interior and weather equipment to be satisfactory and the motor car is equipped with a wood rim steering wheel and Minilite-style alloy road wheels.

The vendor and his wife have enjoyed participating in local classic car runs and touring Brittany, the Loire Valley and Ireland with VHN 38F, all with total reliability.

The history file includes, a large quantity of invoices, a BMIHT certificate and the V5C registration certificate.
