1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 5 Door Estate

The Japanese Subaru products have been well received in the UK and none more so than the Impreza range, which not only are popular in normal domestic guise, but proved themselves brilliantly on the World Rally field. The flat four engine, an original idea from the Yorkshire Jowett factory, offers smooth and powerful performance and its low configuration makes for excellent handling due to its low centre of gravity.

This particular car is classed as a Specialist Import Vehicle and has formed part of a private collection which is being brought to the market following the owner’s ill health. Acquired in 2000, it has had regular use and maintenance prior to this, but in recent times has been used less and would benefit from some re-commissioning before serious use. The mileage of 136216 is said to be correct. A reconditioned 1998 cc flat four engine was fitted in 2013 and is coupled to a five speed manual gearbox. An immobiliser and an upgraded stereo system has been installed together with a Tracker device. The vendor tells us that ‘it is quite a quick car’!

Offered with the Impreza is a V5C registration certificate showing two former keepers and various invoices for servicing etc, plus some old MOT test certificates. A new battery has been fitted.
