1998 Rover Mini Cooper Sport

The original highly-influential design for the Mini by Sir Alec Issigonis was perfection in the eyes of most and stylistically, the motor car required little alteration from the first model in 1959 to the last in 2000. Over 1.5 million examples were sold in the UK and the innovative economy classic has certainly retained its popularity with sporting motorists of all ages.

This 1998 example from Rover has been well cared for throughout its life and, we are assured, is a delight to drive, described by its owner as responsive, lively, reliable and very satisfactory in most departments.  The interior is very smart with half leather upholstery and a walnut dashboard; cosmetically, the paintwork could be improved. We are informed that mechanically, the motor car is in good working order, which is supported by a comprehensive service history. We understand that the exhaust system is stainless steel and that the alloy road wheels are the original. The private number plate is included in the sale.

The large history file contains numerous invoices, MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate, together with the original handbooks, service book and leather wallet.
