1996 Rover Mini 1300 Cabriolet

First appearing in 1993, the Rover Mini Cabriolet is a rare beast indeed; there seems to be some dispute as to how many were actually built, but estimates suggest that just three hundred rolled off the production line at Longbridge. Some may have argued that the original saloon could not be improved, but the care and attention to detail given to the design of the Mini Cabriolet made the model a very desirable motor car, and with an original price tag in the region of £12000, it was certainly not aimed at the economical end of the market.

There is an oft-repeated saying ‘it does what it says on the tin’; in this instance, it does what it says on the number plate: P999 FAB and FAB it certainly is. This lovely 1300 Mini Cabriolet has been well looked after and has no horror stories, but due to the lack of use and a growing family, the current custodian of some seven years has reluctantly decided to part with his Mini. Finished in Nightfire Pearlescent Red, the Mini sports a smart interior of black leather upholstery piped in red, a walnut dashboard, cappings and fittings, and a matching wood-rimmed steering wheel.  The hood is a mohair replacement.  The road wheels are polished alloy, and we are informed that the exhaust is stainless steel.

P999 FAB is supplied with a car cover and a history file containing the original handbook, old road tax discs, the V5C registration certificate, MOT test certificates, invoices and others.
