In 1965, Rolls-Royce introduced an entirely new design with unitary construction, self-levelling independent suspension and servo assisted brakes with three separate circuits. Power was provided by a V8 engine of 6230cc, driving through a GM three speed automatic gearbox. Progress was swift for such a large car and the smoothness was exceptional. 1977 saw the arrival of the Shadow ‘II’, which boasted rack and pinion steering and an improved front suspension. Today, these prestige vehicles offer exceptionally good value for money.
This example is finished in Seychelles Blue with a light tan leather interior. We understand it to have a very straight, rust free body and the upholstery has aged nicely and is presentable.
As with most used Silver Shadows, there are a few issues with the seat switches and the left hand rear door lock, but otherwise, we are informed that the Rolls performs as one would expect.
The V5C registration certificate is supplied, together with MOT history and a good set of MOT test certificates.
ADDENDUM
