1999 Porsche Boxster

The convertible sporting Boxster was built by Porsche from 1996; closely related to the Cayman, these siblings were in the same family of mid-engined sports cars from the company and are still in production today. The name Boxster was an amalgamation of ‘boxer’ (the flat or boxer engine) and roadster. These first generation 2.5-litre flat six-cylinder, water cooled models were popular with Porsche enthusiasts who felt the Boxster had returned to its roots, not only with the mid engine but also in its styling, which was reminiscent of the 911. Today, the early models have retained their popularity and offer excellent value for money.

This one owner from new 2.5 litre model has been well maintained, with servicing and work carried out by Porsche main dealers until 2018, and thereafter by a specialist. We understand that a new water pump and belt was fitted in June 2020. J1 LSY is equipped with a ‘Lux Pack’ Boxster special red leather interior, and retains its original floor covering, sports seats, a black hood, silver roll bars, original alloy road wheels, a stainless steel exhaust system, and aluminium instrumentation, gearshift and handbrake.

The history file includes the original sales brochure and sales invoice, the original handbooks and wallet, all invoices for servicing and maintenance, and the V5C registration certificate. The private registration number is included in the sale.
