1971 MG B Roadster

Succeeding the MGA, the B range of models were innovative for their era. The lightweight monocoque construction produced a car that was economical for MG to produce, but equally offered performance and style to sports car enthusiasts. The Roadster was the first of the range, manufactured from 1962 until the closure of the Abingdon factory in 1980. With the invaluable support from the excellent MG car club, these sports cars are enjoyable to use and economical to run and maintain.

First supplied by Henlys of Salisbury, this 1971 example was the subject of a professional respray in 2015. We are informed that prior to that, the motor car was very sound. The classic car enthusiast owner has carried out his own regular maintenance and confirms that the MG is very good in most departments. We are informed that the exhaust system is stainless steel, a tonneau cover is supplied with the Roadster, and that the hood is new. It sits on four new tyres, and the sports car is sensibly equipped with new seat belts.

A large history file includes the V5C registration certificate, old road tax discs, a BMIHT certificate stating the supplying dealer, a large quantity of invoices and old MOT test certificates.
