1973 MG B Roadster

Succeeding the MGA, the B range of models were innovative for their era. The lightweight monocoque construction produced a car that was economical for MG to produce, but equally offered performance and style to sports car enthusiasts. The Roadster was the first of the range, manufactured from 1962 until the closure of the Abingdon factory in 1980. With the invaluable support from the excellent MG Car Club, these sports cars are enjoyable to use and economical to run and maintain.

This smart 'Bronze Yellow' Roadster was apparently restored some twenty years ago, used for just one year before retiring to storage in a dry and warm garage until recently. It appears that the restoration was to a high standard and we are told that the ‘B’ remains in ‘good’ or ‘very good’ condition. For the interior, the tan leather upholstery was renewed, as was the hood and chrome bumpers. The MG is equipped with a manual overdrive gearbox, a stainless steel exhaust system, and sits of Rostyle road wheels. Recently recommissioned, the mileage is confirmed as 83000 miles.

The history file contains numerous invoices, MOT test certificates, the V5C registration certificate, a parts catalogue and MG books.
