1974 MG B GT

Succeeding the MGA, the B range of models were innovative for their era. The lightweight monocoque construction produced a car that was economical for MG to produce, but equally offered performance and style to sports car enthusiasts. With the invaluable support from the excellent MG car club, these sports cars are certainly a joy to use today, and economical to run and maintain.

First registered in Cornwall on the 8^th July 1974, this B GT is in largely original condition. The previous owner purchased the MG in April 1979 and only occasionally used the motor car for special outings and apparently was never taken out in inclement weather. Clearly cherished, it was also dry-stored up until four years ago. Due to ill health, SAF 685M was last taxed in 2006, but was regularly MOT tested up until 2012 when its custodian passed away. The current owner has recommissioned the MG and fitted new batteries, a new radiator and hoses, and new front brake hoses. It is described as good or excellent in all departments, it is rare to find such an original chrome bumper GT, equipped with a manual overdrive gearbox and chrome Rostyle road wheels.

The file includes some service records, sundry invoices, MOT test certificates, handbook  and the V5C registration certificate.
