1974 MG B GT

Succeeding the MGA, the B range of models were innovative for their era. The lightweight monocoque construction produced a car that was economical for MG to produce, but equally offered performance and style to sports car enthusiasts. With the invaluable support from the excellent MG car club, these sports cars are certainly a joy to use today, and economical to run and maintain.

This smart ‘B’ was one of the last chrome bumper models produced and is equipped with a Britax sunroof and manual overdrive gearbox. The sports car is also fitted with power steering, at the request of the current lady owner. Your writer can confirm that the steering modification is a neat addition, and as it is progressive, it is not detrimental to the handling at speed.

Following a major rolling restoration from 2009 until 2013 that covered virtually all departments at great expense, the MG is clearly maintained to a high standard and remains in good condition, having been garaged and Waxoyled regularly.

We recommend interested purchasers to inspect the large history file supplied with GMH 67N; contents include photographs, invoices, two handbooks, numerous MOT test certificates, copies of previous V5 documents, old road tax discs, a history of previous owners and the V5C registration certificate.
