Lotus Six Replica

Make: Lotus
Model: Six Replica
Guide Price: £8000 - 10000

This Lotus Six Replica was built approximately ten years ago by Hadyn Earl of TheClassicEra, we understand that the build is well documented online.

Built for competition, the sporting car has a bespoke tubular steel chassis, a Ford sidevalve split front axle (modified to provide camber adjustment), a Ford sidevalve rear axle on multi-link setup, custom coil-overs all round as specified for this car, modified 15" Ford Pop wheels on Vredestein Sprint Classics, a twin leading shoe brake conversion all round with dual circuit hydraulics, a steering rack conversion with quick release steering wheel, a welded-in roll bar hoop, and a GRP nosecone, bonnet, scuttle, rear wings and boot lid (the rest is aluminium).

The engine is a highly modified dry sump 1240cc Ford 100E built by PRP Autos Engineering, the crank is a standard lightened wedge with big ends cross drilled, the conrods are by Phoenix Engineering, the pistons are modified 998cc A+ (slipper type), there is a steel centre main cap, the block is ported with three angle valve seats, the head is skimmed for high rev flow, the flywheel is aluminium and the sports car has a E93a gearbox.

The sports car requires further work to finish; the engine was apparently test fitted but needs to be mounted properly and a prop shaft needs to be installed. The engine is newly built and so obviously has not run. The sports car is currently unregistered.
