1969 Lotus Elan S4 Convertible

This Elan S4 was professionally restored and converted from a fixed head coupe early on in its life, which was a common practice in that era. When the current custodian purchased the sports car in July 2013 from Lotus Specialist Paul Matty Sportscars Ltd, it had been fitted with a galvanised chassis which was understood to be an original Lotus unit. For the last six years, the Elan has been used only in dry weather and remains in good, well cared for order throughout.

The original road wheels are fitted with excellent tyres and mechanically, the Lotus has no known faults. A new clutch was installed in 2017 at a cost of £1500 and in the same year, the sports car was ‘rolling road’ set up and tuned by Sigma Engineering.

The ample history supplied includes a quantity of invoices and a schedule of work carried out from June 2010 (at 66000 miles) to March 2016 (at 79148 miles), together with the V5C registration certificate.
