The rise in popularity has grown since the end of production of the last of the Defender series. True 4x4 enthusiasts are keen to go on enjoying the true off road capabilities of a ‘proper’ Landy, thereby eschewing the modern clutch of Crossovers and the like. Few vehicles have been so successful in the world of farming, construction and adventure and indeed the military have used them in all shapes and sizes. With Series I and II prices clambering up to dizzy heights, the series III still offers a reasonable chance to own one of these amazing vehicles.
Forming part of a private collection, this example is the 88” wheelbase model with 2286cc petrol engine. Finished in bronze green with black trim, the vehicle is described as clean inside and out with painted chassis and oiled road springs. The seats are well-worn. Overdrive is fitted and free- wheel hubs.
The vehicle is offered with V5C registration certificate and a file of invoices for work carried out including servicing, exhaust and mock MOT inspections. A Land Rover sales brochure is also included.
