Jaguar’s XK line arrived in 1948 with the XK120 and proved to be highly successful for the company. Succeeding the XK140 was the 150 of 1957, which used the same chassis type, but with all-new body panels, a wrap-around windscreen, a wider body, and an improvement to the braking system with four-wheel Dunlop discs. Production of the XK ceased in 1960.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this restoration project XK150 SE is now available. The chassis has been stripped to bare metal, de-rusted and repainted with 2-Pack paint. Likewise, the interior has also been given the same treatment in order to prevent rust. The body is now bolted to the chassis using new fixings. Included in the sale are a number of new and unused parts: a stainless exhaust system, an aluminium radiator, a fuel tank, an electronic distributor, a wiring loom, front and rear windscreen glasses, suspension trunnions, swivel joints, track rod ends, and a new interior, purchased from Aldridge Trimming, which includes a headlining, carpets and door cards etc…
This exciting project is supplied with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate (confirming that the engine fitted is from a Jaguar Mk II 3.8 Saloon), the V5C registration certificate, invoices and a handbook.
