1998 Ford Escort 1.8 LX Estate

If a vehicle of over twenty years is considered a classic, then this is also a very useable and easily run acquisition, with plenty of room for 4/5 people plus a generous load area. The sprightly 1.8 litre twin overhead cam engine drives the front wheels through a five speed manual gearbox and performance is more than adequate in modern traffic.

The Escort Estate was purchased new by the late Cedric Sansom from Bournemouth Ford in 1998. It has clearly been well looked after and is in very nice and original condition, having been stored and seldom used. Although the engine has been turned in recent weeks, as the Ford has been in storage for a period of time, it will require recommissioning before returning to the road and will need a new battery.
