1998 Rover Mini Cooper

The original highly-influential design for the Mini by Sir Alec Issigonis was perfection in the eyes of most and stylistically, the motor car required little alteration from the first model in 1959 to the last in 2000. Over 1.5 million examples were sold in the UK and the innovative economy classic has certainly retained its popularity with sporting motorists of all ages.

This local vehicle from new was originally purchased by the current lady owner’s father-in-law. Ownership passed to the vendor in January 2013, since when it has been used as a daily runabout. The Mini is fitted with optional alloy road wheels (which will require refurbishing) an electric full-length sunroof and a Sony stereo with upgraded speakers. The leather interior is generally good, apart from one small area of puppy damage. The bodywork is generally tidy, but could be improved if desired. Recent work, at a cost of £1700, included: sill panels replacement, cleaning and applying Waxoyl to the underside, some paintwork refurbishment, the fitting of new rear shock absorbers and attention to the suspension,brakes and steering.

The file includes the V5C registration certificate and sundry paperwork.
