1959 Matchless G3 350cc

The Matchless name may conjure up images of dramatic action on the Isle of Man, serious mud-plugging on some trials hill, or maybe the brave dispatch rider thumping across some pretty inhospitable territory. This would be accompanied by a particular deep exhaust note, producing in some, a definite adrenaline rush. The actual bike itself seemed always pleasing to the eye, even when stationary and indeed, they are sometimes to be seen on display in certain people’s living rooms.

Correctly finished in black, with the famous Matchless badging, this must be one of the last of the G3 models with upgraded engine and suspension. It has clearly had a restoration as there are notes on file of various bits which were needed.

This lovely motorcycle comes with V5C registration certificate and a file containing spare parts lists and apparently the last MOT certificate in 2005/6, so one wonders whose living room has it been since?
