We understand that this Alfa Romeo spent much of its early life in the Channel Islands of Guernsey, when the then enthusiast owner modified the Giulia for long distance road rallies. A great deal of expenditure was invested in its preparation, including the fitting of a Protune Racing engine, and works were carried out by Wellanier Motors, Peter Smart Classic Alfas and TT Motors Racing, costing the custodian some £56000. The Giulia Sprint then successfully participated in the Panama to Alaska Rally, the Classic Safari Challenge and the Inca Trail etc, all proving the excellent reliability of this sporting car.

The current owner has maintained the Alfa to an equally high standard, but has reluctantly decided to acquire a more practical form of transport. Finished in Alfa red with white front valance panels, the paintwork could now be improved on in some areas, but it remains a high performance and impressively striking motor car in the desirable right hand drive configuration.

The history file contains Alfa Romeo Owners Club correspondence and the V5C registration certificate.
