1997 Rover Mini 1300 MPi

The original highly-influential design for the Mini by Sir Alec Issigonis was perfection in the eyes of most and stylistically, the motor car required little alteration from the first model in 1959 to the last in 2000. Over 1.5 million examples were sold in the UK and the innovative economical classic has certainly retained its popularity with sporting motorists of all ages.

This special edition Rover Mini has had just one former keeper, and has resided in the South West of England for its entire life. The current custodian purchased the motor car in 2009 and since that time, it has been well maintained. The steering rack was replaced in 2013 and we understand that a repaint was carried out in 2015. It appears that the Mini underwent a period of storage from 2014, but last year, it was professionally recommissioned, with the fitting of a new fuel pump, catalytic convertor, heater matrix and brake light switch, an engine oil and filter change, a brake overhaul, and two welding repairs to the underside. The original interior of cream with Balmoral Tartan is good, and we understand all instrumentation to be in working order, apart from the fuel gauge. Overall, while the Mini isn’t a concours queen, it is a good and usable motor car and the perfect introduction to the classic car world for a budding Mini enthusiast.

The history file contains the original service book, the priginal handbook and wallet, the V5C registration certificate and its replacement, MOT test certificates from 2008, wiring diagrams, and all invoices from the current ownership. A new exterior car cover is also supplied.
