1993 Mercedes-Benz 500SL Auto with Hardtop

It appears that this 500SL spent its formative years in London before finding its way to Devon in 2003, where it has remained. It has been well maintained throughout, as evidenced by invoices included in the history file. We see that some light maintenance-restoration work carried out in 2003, the power steering was checked and fixed in 2011, and the ABS system was attended to in 2017. We are told that a friend of the vendor owned the Mercedes for twenty years and it was used during the summer only.  Unsurprisingly then, the body and paintwork now are described as being in very good and original condition, as is the tan leather upholstery (including an optional read seat) which is immaculate and in excellent condition for its age. The mechanics are said to be good, with no known faults. Most recently, a new battery was fitted in May and in July 2023, a new alternator was fitted. A lovely modern classic Mercedes, ready for the road this summer. Importantly, a hardtop is supplied should the new owner wish to venture out into winter, and the power hood works well.

The aforementioned file contains MOT test certificates, the original service manual, numerous maintenance invoices, the original spare key presentation case, a V5 document, an older V5C, the current V5C registration certificate and others.
