1966 MG B Roadster

We understand that this tidy B Roadster was originally an American export model. In the 1980s and very early Nineties, it resided in Texas but by 1992, the sports car had been repatriated to the UK. At around this time, it may have undergone a restoration of some form; certainly it was retrimmed in 1992 and presumably converted to right hand drive in that period too. The B appears to have been well maintained throughout as evidenced by the paperwork in the file. The current custodian bought JFL 78Din 2008 and has continued to care for the car well; the recent purchase of another vehicle and resultant lack of space has forced the sale of the MG now.

The bodywork and panel fit are described as being good and the paintwork remains very good. The brightwork is smart, apart from some peeling to the left hand rear over-rider and the chrome wire wheels are imperfect. Electric screen washers have been fitted to aid modern motoring.  The cream upholstery with green piping remains in very good order, as do the carpets. The dash and cappings are excellent and instrumentation is present and in working order. A new woodrim steering wheel was fitted in 2008 along with a replacement anti-roll bar and a new gas strut kit for the bonnet and boot. The hood condition is said to be very good but the rear screen is slightly cloudy. We understand there to be no known mechanical faults, the MG has been well maintained and is in good, operational order having been continuously tinkered with by the current owner and driven to the sale from mid Somerset.

The history file contains photographs, MOT test certificates from 1994 to 2012, sundry documentation and correspondence, invoices dating back to 1985, bill of sales from 1992 and 2008, two valuation certificates, a wiring diagram, a restoration manual, the current V5C registration certificate and two older V5Cs.
