2000 Yamaha DT125 R

For those who neglected to take a motorcycle test when it mattered, it is always exciting to find something one can legally ride and experience more excitement than is really good for their well-being. It was in the sixties that during a down turn in the general market Yamaha spotted a gap, particularly in America, for a genuine off-road motorcycle. Hence the DT (Dirt Track) or Enduro was born to take on the likes of Bultaco and Greaves for green laning, trials and the like. This desirable 2000 example is powered by a 125cc two stroke, single cylinder, air cooled engine with six speed gearbox and chain drive.

This Yamaha has been in the current ownership since 2004. It has been in long term storage for some time, but taken out in September for a good clean and an MOT, which it passed. It remains in nice order, clearly benefitting from the dry storage and lack of use. There is some superficial damage to the right-hand upper side panel which could be easily rectified. The seat appears to be in good condition. We presume the odometer reading to be correct but have no paperwork to verify this.

The Yamaha comes with the current MOT test certificate and the V5C registration certificate.
