1988 Volvo 340 GL Five Door Hatchback

From 1976 until 1991, Volvo produced their 300 series of models in hatchback and saloon guises. Dependable and extremely solid, the model range appealed to the middle classes of Britain, especially in the first half of the 1980s when it was amongst the top ten of the most popular new cars sold in the UK. A renaissance of that popularity has occurred in recent years, with enthusiasts appreciating the 300 series’ robust build quality, reliability and longevity.

Supplied new by local main dealer Taunton Motor Company Ltd, we are informed that the first owner retained this example until April 2013. The motor car has clearly been well cared for throughout its life; the history file reveals that it was serviced by the main dealership up until 18700 miles in November 1994.
