1978 Suzuki GS1000

Suzuki’s GS, or Grand Sporting, range of motorcycles appeared in the late Seventies and ranged from 400 to 1000cc. As we’ve mentioned before, the 997cc, inline four-cylinder GS1000 was ridden with great success at international racing events, and their popularity continues to this day with a large and loyal following, well served by enthusiast clubs and an excellent Suzuki vintage parts scheme.  

This example was imported from Colorado to the UK in January 1999, and the late Cedric Sansom was its first owner in this country. The low mileage of 13610 is understood to be correct; included in the file is the first MOT test certificate at 9137 miles, which is dated 6.1.1999 and is rubber stamped by Bournemouth VRO. The motorcycle appears to be in good condition for its age and is smartly presented in black. After a period of storage, recommissioning is recommended.

The history file contains seventeen MOT test certificates, correspondence, sundry invoices, photographs, the sales invoice, a V5 document and the V5C registration certificate.
