1999 Suzuki GSF 600SX

Enthusiasts have clearly enjoyed the Bandit and there are a number of owner’s clubs to support them. By taking a well proven Supersport engine, fitting it into a normal roadster chassis frame and being a bit canny with pricing, the Bandit created its own class of affordable middleweight cruisers. As good all-rounders the first ones proved to be best sellers as they appealed to both novices and experienced riders and they are good value even today. There is a lot to be said for simplicity and it is reported that the bike handles well in an upright manner, which makes for a comfortable ride. The engine is considered to be tough and big-bore conversions apparently may be carried out without detriment to the bottom end.

This GSF 600SX was purchased by the current owner in June 2021 with a full service history and a new set of tyres. In the current custodianship, it has covered 600 miles since and the odometer reading of 9000 is thought to be correct based on its MOT test history.

Sensible upgrades to the machine include a genuine Yoshimura exhaust can (the original is supplied), plus the Suzuki has chrome engine crash bars, a rear hugger, braided brake hoses and standard touring handlebar raisers. It is in immaculate condition with no known faults and is for sale only through lack of use. It gained its most recent MOT in May with no advisories, and has been well cared for by its motor engineer custodian.

The file contains a Haynes manual, MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate, plus the aforementioned handlebar raisers.
