Introduced in 1927, the 8 hp Junior was one of the earliest examples of small, affordable (£150 in 1932) family cars, powered by an overhead cam engine driving through a manual gearbox and having four wheeled brakes.
This 1932 Singer Junior was well covered in an Automobile magazine article in August 1993, following a full restoration by the owner. The pretty six light coachwork is finished in black and maroon with burgundy leather trim. The 848cc engine provides adequate performance and has recently received a new starter motor LED lighting is fitted and four new tyres. The motor car is in immaculate condition throughout.
Documentation includes two large hardback files of information and invoices for work carried out. There is further technical literature and a wiring diagram, three instruction books, the V5C registration certificate and an RF60 registration book that accompany the motor car, and there are photos of the restoration being carried out.
Small early saloons in such nice condition are not often offered for sale so this is a great opportunity to enjoy this form of period family motoring.
