1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur

The Silver Spur was a long wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit and was produced at the same time.  The Spur shared the same self – levelling suspension as the Spirit together with the Girling automatic ride height control system and gas – charged shock absorbers.  The Silver Spur II was introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show and was equipped with an improved, fully automatic suspension system and other innovations such as ABS brakes.

In the current ownership for some eight years, this Silver Spur has been used for private hire and weddings, and has been maintained accordingly. A full respray was carried out in 2007 and the motor car is described by the vendor as good or lovely in most departments. The tan upholstery is clean and tidy, as is the rest of the interior, including all wood cappings and instrumentation, which we believe to be in working order. We understand that routine maintenance has been carried out by the in-house mechanic; recent work has included an electrical overhaul earlier this year.

The imposing Rolls-Royce is supplied with the V5C registration certificate and the old V5 document.
