Launched at Earls Court in 1948, the Minor became something of a phenomenon for Morris with over 1.3 million models manufactured over its production run of twenty four years. Designed under Alec Issigonis, the Minor ‘MM’ was initially available as a saloon and tourer; by 1952 and in Series II guise, the iconic ash-framed Traveller arrived, shortly followed by the 6/8cwt Van and Pick-Up in ‘53. In whichever form, these economical vehicles are superb and highly-desirable classics.
This Traveller was the subject of a major restoration around three years ago, which we are informed involved a total strip down and a complete respray. The Minor was treated to a new timber frame and a partial re-trim, and the front brakes were converted to discs. The loss of garaging has forced the sale of the Morris, which remains in presentable condition post restoration.
Supplied with KWL 426G is documentation from the last three owners detailing expenditure, MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate.
