1974 MG B GT

Launched at the Earls Court Motor Show in October 1965, the MGB GT complemented the MGB Roadster launched two years previously, and became a popular choice for those wanting a reasonably priced sports car with an added degree of practicality. Despite being obviously heavier than the Roadster, a well-thought Pininfarina design and thus improved aerodynamics meant that a top speed of over 100mph was achievable in the right conditions.

This late desirable chrome bumper B GT has been the subject of a recent respray and body restoration. We are informed that the underside is sound and solid and the original interior is in reasonable and usable condition. The vendor has been honest and has brought to our attention the intermittent fault with the overdrive gearbox; however, the mechanics are good and we understand that the MG drives very well and is ready to be enjoyed in whatever the British weather throws at it this winter!

The restoration was photographed and a CD of those images is included in the file, together with its V5C registration certificate.
