‘In operation’, the instruction book tells us, ’a James is as simple as it is possible for a high efficiency motor cycle to be and only the minimum of attention is necessary for it to give you many thousands of miles of reliable and economical personal transport.’
Some 64 years later this 150cc James Cadet looks as it should in its original looking dark red livery and everything appears very correct in terms of running gear and equipment. Although not run for some while, it has been stored in a dry garage and it is thought that with light re-commissioning, it will soon be able to take to the road once more. Sad to think that one could have run such a machine in its day on a salary of less than £5 per week.
Accompanying this motorcycle is a modern V5C registration certificate, an old RF60 registration book and the aforementioned Instruction Book.
Addendum: The original tool kit is also supplied.
