The VFR 750F was produced by Honda from 1986 until 1997. Initially a sporting machine to rival the likes of Suzuki and Yamaha, by 1990, it had evolved into more of a sports touring motorcycle. From the first model, the VFR750F was fully-faired and powered by a 104hp, liquid-cooled, DOHC, V4 four-stroke engine. The ‘J’ suffix of 1988-89 denoted larger wheels, a screen, fairing and exhaust redesign, stronger forks and an improved ignition.
This example is described as a clean and tidy motorcycle and has, we understand, good tyres, brakes and chain, and is equipped with the original pillion seat cover. Also supplied is a petrol tank cover and tank bag. Apart from a slight blow from the collector box, we are told that the Honda runs well. The left-hand side of the fairing has been repaired, and it is noted that the left-hand side of the fuel tank has a small dent.
With only 20,327 miles on the clock, the owner describes the VFR750FJ as a great useable modern classic motorcycle with plenty of life left. It is supplied with the V5C registration certificate.
