1979 Austin Morris Mini Clubman Auto Convertible

This is a Mini with a difference: sporting a convertible roof modification which is easy to operate, the small modern classic is surely the perfect summer run about.  Affectionately known as Cynthia, it was given as a Ruby wedding anniversary present to the vendor’s mother from his father in 2003. During the last twelve years, the motor car has covered just 8000 miles, many of them for trips and picnics on Exmoor. We understand that the Mini has always been maintained to a high standard in all departments and is interestingly equipped with Minilite alloy road wheels. CYN 702V has also been converted to run on unleaded petrol; new sill panels were fitted in 2007, and together with a braking system upgrade and other remedial attention, work carried out cost £1250. Another invoice included in the file, totalling £687, details the fitting of a new subframe and work to the suspension.

The vendor’s mother, now eighty years old, finds driving Cynthia too emotional so has sensibly decided to part with her beloved motor car in the hope that it will find a new, equally loving home.

The history file contains invoices, MOT test certificates and V5C registration certificates.
