1965 Austin A35 Van

A really useful addition to any household or small business, the A35 van has a definite presence with its distinctive body style and enjoyable performance. This example has had regular use mostly at weekends, on visits to the local steam railway up until Covid cruelly intervened to spoil the fun. Always garaged by the vendor and regularly serviced with oil changes by a friend, it is small wonder that despite a long period of non-use, the little van started up and drove to our premises in Stalbridge without drama.

Although stated to be ready to use, a new owner may want to attend to the cosmetics, perhaps over the coming winter as the paintwork has issues which are best caught whilst of a minor nature. Inside, the seats and headlining are fine but maybe a fresh carpet would be beneficial. The tidy load area has proved to be a great boon for carrying a wheelchair and the engine bay is unfussed and dry. We are told the tyres were replaced in June 2017.

A 1098cc engine is fitted with four speed manual gearbox, which gives perfectly adequate performance to cope in modern traffic. It will be economical at the same time and basically a whole lot of fun to own and drive.

With this delightful offering comes a V5C registration certificate. A spare speedometer is included.
