1995 Jaguar Sovereign Auto

Inherited from Daimler of course, the Sovereign name epitomised high end luxury in Jaguar’s range of XJ sporting saloons. By the mid-1990s, the model range was powered by an inline six engine of either 3.2 or 4.0 litres, and four speed automatic transmission, producing smooth and effortless high performance with a superb interior specification. If cared for properly, these models have aged well and now offer excellent value for money.

This example has been in the current, very careful ownership for eighteen years and has a genuine mileage of some 49000. It has been dry stored for approximately the last five years but remains in very good condition despite its recent lack of use. We note that the Sovereign has always been well maintained and looked after, as evidenced by the servicing and maintenance invoices included in the history file.

Mechanically, a new MOT test certificate was obtained on the 17th September 2025. A new battery was fitted and a full service carried out on the 10th October 2025. 

The bodywork appears to be in original and rust free condition. The paintwork is a rare Jade Green Mica and is seemingly unmarked. The wheels are original and also unmarked. The interior is in very good order with little evidence of wear or use, apart from the usual dropped headlining. The ivory upholstery is clean and tidy, as are the carpets, and all veneers are excellent.

The large history supplied with the Sovereign includes numerous MOT test certificates dating back to 2005, the aforementioned invoices, correspondence, road tax discs, an older V5 document and the current V5C registration certificate.
