Winter 2017 Sale Results
A truly outstanding 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Roadster was the star of our Early Winter sale on the last day of November. Fetching £110,000, the beautifully restored E-Type found a new home in Northamptonshire with a Jaguar collector. The bright weather drew in a full capacity crowd to Athelhampton House, tempted by the array of automobilia and a fine selection of motor cars. Of similar era to the Jaguar and with a ‘fast road engine’ was the 1967 Volvo P1800S, which sold to an enthusiast in Suffolk for an amazing £22550; similarly, a 1958 Triumph TR3A which was restored by TR specialists and participated in Continental rallies, made £24300. DVCA also offered a 1964 Hillman Super Minx Convertible that made £6820, two motors from 1974: a Jensen-Healey and an MG B GT that made £5060 and £3245 respectively, and a 1981 Porsche 924 Turbo which found a new home for £7260.
